WUFF 2012

UAfurence (WUFF) – first and the biggest meeting in Ukraine for those adored and fond of anthropomorphic creatures. We are community of artists, cartoonists, costumers, puppeteers, fans and just admires of human-like animal characters.

WUFF: who for?

Few years ago tradition to gather together for May holidays formed in our community. This is a wonderful time when we can meet old friends, and find new ones, enjoy friendly communication with those who share same interests, play games together, enjoy hot dances, artwork and many other wonderful things.
WUFF is an event for those who wish to communicate, who lives with furry ideals in their hearts, who's creativity is furry related, want to show their works, or wish to see others' works of art, standing right behind them, watching over their shoulder.
WUFF is for those, who wish to meet people sharing the same keen interests.

WUFF: what for?

Visiting WUFF everyone can easily find many interesting things to do. We run several official events like: open-air picnic, and fursuit dance party. In 2012 we plan to introduce several new events: fursuit parade in city center and furry art-show in one of the art galleries in Kiev.

As always we'll have active open air games in the forest: frisbee, airsoft, slackline, twister and many other. (in case of good weather)

Several evenings will be dedicated for art and photography masterclasses, Pump It Up, games and other interesting stuff. Don't miss Artist Lounge (nice cozy place for those willing to craft and create art).

And above all, WUFF is all about communication in real life with furries from different countries. Who live under the same roof. And let's hope it wont blow up :)

Initiatives are highly encouraged, so go on and propose to carry out your own events and activities with support of orga team. What will it be? Sport airplanes, cart rides, skates or rollers (in fursuits too) - it's up to you.

What's so special about WUFF?

Kiev meeting in May always was and remains affordable for everyone. Unlike larger and more official furry meetings you don't have to pay to participate in WUFF. You pay only for those activities and events you're visiting, if payment required.

This year first exhibition of anthropomorphic and animalistic art "Happiness is" will be held. It will take place in one of Kiev galleries. At last furry art has left Internet and can be displayed in real art gallery!

Any creativity is welcome on WUFF, not just furry pictures. We plan to release "2WUFF" - digital illustrated book with collection of stories, images and music.

Funds raised by artists and other events will be transferred for charity, to support of one of Kiev's shelters for homeless animals.

Why UaFurence is WUFF?

Past years UkrMiniFurrence has grown into something bigger than just a meeting of old friends at forest meadow. In five years of its existance it has earned fame of unique event with soulful atmosphere, and its own format. WUFF is successor of UMF that retains all positive sides. Due to increased number of attendees and several additional events – it has grown to the title of official Ukrainian Furrence. Well, and the new name: WUFF or WuFurence - reflects in best way furry spirit and mood of new and so dear to us UAfurence.
